The ADVAN Fleva V701 is Yokohama’s Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for enthusiast drivers looking to add some fun to the drive in their sports cars, performance sedans and sporty coupes. The ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to excel in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
An advanced, nanoBLEND compound combines wear-resistant and high-fuel efficiency polymers with silica to combine dry and wet traction with long life and efficiency. The Two In One contrasting pitch of the tread pattern works to reduce noise for a quiet ride in addition to increasing pattern stability for improved performance. A solid center rib and near-solid shoulders help provide quick, precise handling and high-speed stability and on-center feel. Drop Point Grooves in the intermediate ribs evacuate water to the Jagged Circumferential Grooves, helping to resist hydroplaning and improve stopping distance in wet conditions.
The mold contour and construction of the ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to evenly distribute pressure across the contact patch to optimize handling and braking traction, in addition to improving steering stability at high speeds.
Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage. Tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

On a 1500 car, cornering and wet traction highest concern. because of low weight, replace tires by age more than wear. 2nd set. First set had 5 years and got hard, over 1/2 tread left. plenty sticky as new, run low pressure front, 185/55-15at 16 lbs and higher back 205/50-15 at 26.
Switched to the Fleva 701 based on the TireRack test report. Very impressed. I have had BFG Comp-2 for the last 48000 miles on the Spark. I have had the Comp-2, and before that the Comp, on several cars for many years. The Flevas are quieter by a big margin, not very hard to do compared to the Comp-2. At first (50 miles) the initial turn-in seemed slightly slower, but even then, the comfortable limits and response at 90% were way better. I can compare them to the Michelin PS4’s that are on another car of mine, which also had the BFG Comp-2 on it before the PS4. The improvement to the Fleva on the Chevy is greater than to the PS4 on the Jag, and I really like the PS4. My commute is over a 2000 ft mountain pass to the city. Winding two lane roads for twenty miles each way. The Fleva really improves the overall experience; comfort, noise, response and grip. It IS the complete package. Is it a funny name, or is that just me?
Was about to spend an additional $500 on Indy 500 tire then I was convinced to try these out and wow they are an awesome tire for someone who wants something on the grippier side but doesn’t want to give up wet/poor condition traction. These handle the rain or gravel amazing, 10/10 will recommend and rebuy!!
It took a while to get things right, but now that they are I’m very satisfied. There aren’t many options for my vehicle, so it was these or Kumhos. I’m new to this car as I just bought it. It had 12yo tires so I wanted to replace them right away. I was pretty excited to get the Yokohamas on and see what the car could do, but after three trips to Big O and two to Costco, I was still getting highway speed wobble and feeling very frustrated. If I hadn’t driven 500 miles on the old tires first, I might have thought it was any number of mechanical issues. I was close to giving up and starting over, when I visit to Mike at the Reno Discount Tire location solved the problem. He force-balanced the tires and the problem was gone completely. I don’t know if it was a finicky fitment or poor balancing prior, but the car now feels great. Very calm tracking at highways speeds (for a 2200 pound vehicle) and they are fun, predictable, and confidence-inspiring in the twisties. Granted, the car probably could perform well with bicycle tires, and I have no real frame of reference for this car, but I’m a “tire guy” and if I still had problems I would still be trying to solve them. They feel very similar to the Hancook Ventus tires I put on a 2013 Mini Cooper Clubman, which is a compliment as I loved those tires. The only reason I put “probably” on the re-buy questions is that you never know what might be available in these sizes next time around. And, a shout out to Nick and Tamara at Tire Rack. They both listened, helped, and supported me through the process of trying to get my issues resolved. Tire Rack may seem like just another online retailer, but when the people behind the company make their presence felt in a positive way, that’s special. Kudos, and thanks!
Great tire for street use, good grip and on-center-feel. Had the tires installed at Tire Rack in South Bend three days ago and drove 2,000 miles to Florida and back. I had Yokohama’s competition tires on a race car that placed 3rd in a NASA National Championship.
Impressive handling on both wet and dry roads, excellent with cornering/handling- very responsive tire. Was previously running the Toyo Proxes 4+ A/S on all four, and desperately needed new rears- very impressed with the quality of tire for this price!
