Advantage T/A Sport tires featuring H- or V- speed ratings are BFGoodrich’s Grand Touring All-Season tires for the drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans and small crossover vehicles looking to add some fun to their daily commute, in addition to all-season traction in dry, wet and light snow conditions.

The Advantage T/A Sport features an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetrical design, allowing easy cross rotation to resist irregular wear. The tire’s continuous center ribcreates constant contact with the road, and combined with the optimized footprint provided by the Next Generation ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment) System, delivers confident handling and high-speed stability.

Utilizing full-depth tread features help to deliver traction mile after mile while the wide, circumferential grooves efficiently channel water through the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance. 3D Active Sipe Technology provides an increased number of biting edges for improved wet and light snow traction.

The tire’s internal structure includes a single ply polyester body casing. Next Generation g-Wedge Sidewall Stabilizer inserts help control distortion during cornering. Two wide steel belts with a spirally-wrapped nylon reinforcement deliver durability, ride quality and stability.


  1. I just replaced a set of aged Firestone Precision Touring tires with just a little over 60,000 miles on them with the BFGoodriches. The old Firestone tires were nothing to brag about in the perform department and I immediately noticed an improvement in corning traction with these tires. The way the video describes them is spot on. They are a bit noisy on coarse surfaces but on smooth roads they are as quiet as can be. My car has performance once again with these tires! I just hope I can get at least 55,000 out of them. As for the ride, car rides comfortable. Some of the tires I was considering were Firestone Champion Fuel Fighters, Firestone All Season, Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max and some Bridge Stone models. But none of these tires had a strong feeling side wall except The BFs , so I got them over the others. I read a lot of reviews that talk about a reduction in fuel mileage but I haven’t noticed that yet. Truth be known any tire that is brand new should give you a reduction in MPGs! The reason being is because the diameter of the old tires are smaller then the new ones. So the smaller tire will give you more revolutions in the same amount of distance causing the odometer to register more miles then driven padding your mileage numbers. In conclusion I have to say I love the way these tires perform.

  2. After reading all the reviews for tires in this class, we went with the Goodrich TA Sport (H speed rated) for our Subaru 2015 Outback with 18in OEM rims. The orginal OEM Bridgestone Duelers started getting very noisy on the highway around 28,000 miles, and we ran them to 40,000 before the treadwear required changing. Just got these installed today. So, too soon to say much. But they are quiet, smooth and steady on the highway. Slightly softer than I expected on hard cornering on neighborhood roads, but the car still feels connected to the road and are nimble and true tracking tires. I like them. And when my wife saw them she said, “they look very nice.” That’s important. it;s her car. As far as rain and snow, we’ll have to report back next winter. We spend a lot of time in Tahoe in the winter and also drive on country gravel roads, as well as highways in Northern California.

  3. Very limited number of miles, but so far I’m very pleased. The T/A sport was one of several tires I had tagged (General Altimax RT43, Continental Pure/True Contact, Yokohama Avid Ascend). When it went on sale, grabbed 4 . The handling is great. I’m driving a hybrid Camry, so take that into consideration. Still, the corners are smooth and tight. The lack of noise is great. Very quiet ride. Did not have a chance to drive in snow. Will have to see if there’s any noticeable effect on mileage.

  4. Two weeks after having a set of B.F.G. Advantage T/A Sports mounted on our ‘08 Honda Accord EX-L coupe;we headed west to Colorado from southern Wi. In our 2,600 mile journey these tires made our 132,000 mile ride feel fresh again.The very first rain storm was a deluge.These tires immediately impressed me with their ability to Slice through the accumulating standing water as if it was simply air! Never have I driven on an”all-season”tire that did so well. Cornering,high speed lane changes,faster than recommended roundabout travels ALL prove the superior ability of this tire tread and composition.If there were at all any problems with this rubber? It would be that it teases you into driving quicker than you may casually! When this tire is pushed hard in a curve;it has satisfying sizzle sound;as opposed to a screaming screech! Winter driving is very predictable.In slushy winter slop these tires do well at displacing the volume from down under.Light to moderate snow depths are handled well by this tire, even in this snowy Wi. I have driven up my 100ft.long plus drive (which is a slight incline) with snow drifts tickling the front fascia because I had not cleared it.Yes the traction control kicked in,yet with light throttle these tires chewed their way home. My last 6 sets of tires (different vehicles)were all Coopers.After reading extensive reviews on their comparable tire and learning of a noisy roar after 10,000 miles.I decided to go with the B.F.G.Advantage T/A Sports. 13,600 miles later,I am confident I made the correct choice! I highly recommend these tires.Excellent tires,Awesome Value!!

  5. Got these as a replacement of the OEM tires. Was highly satisfied at first with the much improved traction, though mpg dropped by 2 on my Mazda 3 SkyActiv. However, the tires are almost bald at 30k miles, despite its 60k rating! The hydroplaning indicator turned on briefly on a dry road at lunch, so I’ll need to replace them in the next couple of weeks. Even my OEM tires made it to 36k miles. Road noise has also increased as time goes by.

  6. So I usually bought Michelin’s but when comparing reviews and prices of this tire and the Michelin defenders the price made me give these a try. I use this car for work and drive everywhere. My biggest fear was road noise going from having Michelin tires to different ones. I haven’t honestly noticed a huge difference from Michelin’s to these BF Goodrich tires. I think the BF Goodrich Tire actually has much better grip in wet conditions and ride comfort is great. Grant it I drive a 2005 toyota so it may be different than your ride. These tires have me considering these for every car I have. I would definitely buy again! 20,000 miles and the tread still looks new!

  7. Very solid all around tire, bought them because of the overwhelming good reviews and they do not disappoint. Installed them in summer 2017 and just last month had my first flat with one. They have taken me around town and halfway across the country and back with no trouble. Tire Rack balanced them for me and I never had a problem. They are a smooth ride, minimal road noise, and are great in wet and dry conditions (N/A for snow for me). Worth a buy!
