Passenger All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a smooth ride, good wear and S- or T-speed rated durability along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Passenger All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on standard coupes, sedans and family vans, as well as some entry-level pickup, crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Passenger All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle’s original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires’ performance category and specifications.

  1. This was my first time daily driving on a set of Nexen tires, I usually stick with Michelin or Pirelli tires. I drive an average of 100 miles a day (mostly highway). Dry traction is pretty decent for these tires, was a lot better when they brand new but still pretty decent at 20,000+ miles. Cornering is pretty lame, you can feel the tires loosing traction fairly easily even when it’s dry out. Wet traction is about the worst I’ve ever seen on a tire with only 20,000 miles. Can’t go faster than 55-60 MPH on the highway when it’s raining or you’ll feel as if you don’t have full control of the car, it loses a lot of traction after 60 MPH when it’s wet outside. I wouldn’t but these tires again, lesson learned.

  2. The N Priz AH8 tires came as standard equipment on my 2017 Elantra Limited. These tires are definitely designed for more performance than comfort. They are outstanding on dry pavement. When going straight, the tires will try keep going straight with very little wandering off center line. They corner exceptionally well at speed with no noise. Have had no problems at all in the rain with no lose of grip even at higher speeds than I normally drive at while its raining. Only driven on very small patches of snow and the traction has been good. Don’t know about deeper snow or ice. The big problem with these tires is comfort and noise. They transfer any bump in the road into the cabin with large bumps really unsettling the ride at times. Also very noisy with a pronounced growl at all times even over smooth pavement. If you want a performance tire, you can consider these, but I will not purchase on set when these are replaced.

  3. I cannot find any reviews on these tires, so I decided to give my impression. They are noisy. They roar on the highway, they roar in the city. Unless the road surface is perfectly smooth, you will hear them. Overall performance is average, but the ride is rough. Cornering is okay, but not great. If you like to feel the road surface, these tires are for you. Otherwise, don’t bother. These tires are so loud, I am plan to replace them with some Bridgestones. I would not recommend purchasing these tires, unless they are all you can afford. They are dirt cheap compared to other brands.

  4. I will give it one star as this is a tire which allows the car to move on the road. Else, it would get 0 stars from me. I purchased a 2015 Kia Optima, Labor Day weekend, 2014. These tires; N’Priz AH8 are pathetic. They do not handle in turns on dry pavement, horrible on wet road conditions, and just outright —- in any kind of snow conditions! I dont know where they got called All Season Radials when they cant handle any condition. Forget their warranty, no one seems to want to stand behind it! Although I really needed to replace these “new” tires earlier, I waited until 4000 miles to do so. Nexen regional, as well as Nexen Corporate were worth the phone call. KIA shoppers be prepared to purchase replacement tires after your purchase This must not be a one off experience as I did a quick Google before finding this site and found an ad for the same tire set for sale. The person states it to be from a 2015 Kia Optima as well. Use this as your leveraging point during purchase! BUYER BEWARE, at least of this model tire on a KIA, especialy since (according to Nexen Regional) they were designed for the KIA!

  5. Review of New OEM tires on a 1 year old 2014 Kia Optima 2.4L.Wet & dry traction good, no snow or ice yet, so didn’t rate them for that.LOTS of road noise & rough ride, not favorably impressed at all with that.Tread wear is low & even across the tire.Tires holding air pressure well, so easy to keep them properly aired up.Sidewall & belt splices are smooth, no wavy sidewalls.Belts are straight & tires roll smoothly without pull, bump, side to side wonder, or rolling road slap.Steering response is average, not so quick you’d over steer into a corner, nor so slow that you’d be behind where you’d need to be as a curve winds up. About right for the Kia Optima suspension tuning on our twisty mountain turns & road surfaces.Window down pavement tread noise is an average high pitched whine on our roads here in Sw Va.Rubber flashing & sprues were nicely cleaned up.There are quieter/less road noise into the cabin & smoother riding tires, with as good or better performance, for the same, or less money. Like the General Altimax HP, purchased from Tire Rack that I’m currently running on two vehicles, that I’d more likely opt for when replacing these OEM tires.SO, bottom line is, the tire seems to be well built & finished, BUT excessive road noise into the cabin, especially on textured road surfaces & rough ride, get a thumbs down from me.

  6. These were OEM delivered on the vehicle. We were so unfavorably impressed by the in cabin noise level & rough ride we thought it necessary to log our experience. Rough & noisy about sums it up. Lots of road noise transmitted into the cabin. Not a very mature design. Tread wear is doing ok on the roads here in SW Va though. They are holding air well & required little weight to balance. Handling in the twisties is average/ok. Dry & wet braking is ok, nothing to write home about.

  7. OEM tire. My driving habits are chill when I want to and fast when I need to. The rain scores are a bit high however since there has only been drizzling and no real storms to really test the tires.Decent cornering, traction and response but that could be the optima electronic steering control making the tires better than they are. No snow testing yet, but i would assume 4-5 scores. The ride quality is average. Felt great at the start but that could be going from a light focus to a heavier optima. Noise at tight turns was quite noticeable at 10 k. Tread wear so far seems decent.

  8. These tires came stock on my 14 Optima they are a decent tire if the weather is nice. At first they were decent in rain but as they wore on they have became ridiculously scary in rain, and in the snow you might wanna consider walking because you probably will have to eventually. I now have 25000 miles on them and they are in need of replacing. I have had them rotated about every 6000 miles. That have also became somewhat noisy I would not recommend these tires to anyone

  9. The Nexens on this 2017 Elantra are great overall tires. They grip very well in dry and wet, quiet and really ride very well. These are the first Nexens that I really like and I am very surprised how good they really perform. For the price I think they are a great deal.

  10. Smooth ride with good tread design that doesn’t produce road noise. Tires on compact car used for daily work commute. Softer ride than previous tires, which is great! Advertised to get 50,000 miles, yet to see how tread wears.

  11. Cheap tire on brand new car. This is the tire Kia chooses? Does okay in dry and wet. Terrible in even light snow. In light snow tire does not like to bite when stopping or starting from stop. Had trouble stopping from 35 mph even with anti-lock brakes. Traction control engages on low throttle. Terrible tire for any snow. If you have to drive in snow at any time of the year this is not the tire to have. Car is parked until better tires arrive. I put these general on our RWD Marquis and it drives great in the same conditions. Going to try Generals or Goodrich on the Kia. Kia (DEALER) should be ashamed of putting these on a car for Northwest Ohio. The General Altimax RT43 tire or the BF Goodrich Advantage is an all season that does very well in all seasons. I’ll never buy a Nexan tire. Not a tire I would have chosen in the first place. The General is one of the best All Season tires I have ever driven on in the snow. BFG close second.

  12. My initial impression of this tire is positive. It is a new car so I have no basis of comparison but have not encountered any faults yet. Traction has been good in all conditions. I am not an aggressive driver but do enjoy taking a corner quickly, especially with a small car. It is hard to judge tire feedback with the numb steering that is on most cars as of late. I look forward to seeing if my positive impressions continue with more miles.

  13. Never heard of these tires or the company. But after some research Im very happy with the tires. Told the tire shop my criteria for new tires were; quiet, smooth ride and these tires have delivered. During heavy rains, the tire holds the road and instills a sense of confidence. Cannot comment on tread wear as the tires are very new. Overall first impression: Outstanding touring tire at a great price.

  14. These came on the SUV. Bought it used for work commute. Can’t judge on snow use. Here in Michigan we will see.. stay tuned for more updates. They handle very nicely in wet and dry conditions.

  15. These tires were oe on my 17 Elantra first signs of adverse weather I had replace them absolutely no wet or snow traction even my light footed girlfriend refused to drive the car in the rain …..replaced them with Conti dws 06 best choice I ever made what a difference. the oe tires are terrible I feel bad for poor guy that buys them used on Craigslist from me …….they will not go back on my car under any circumstances….

  16. These tires are fine on dry pavement and even in light rain. These are the worst tires I have ever owned for light snow. These tires are so bad in any snow that I am replacing at 14,000 miles.

  17. These were original equipment on my 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Traction and ride is good in dry conditions. This is a below average tire in wet conditions. This is a dangerous tire in snow of any kind. I am replacing these tires at 14,000 miles. Not because of tread wear, but because of losing control in any snow conditions.

  18. I have had Goodyear, Michelin and Firestone tires. I have always purchased tires according to their tread, ratings and prices. When I bought my 2015 Kia Optima I never really thought about what kind of tires it had on it because the car rated high and I really did not think they would put crap tires on the car. I will admit that I have not done them justice though as far as rotation. I have 55000 miles on them and have never rotated them. I have never had a flat (knock on wood), I have had to air them up every so often but nothing to be concerned about. Everyone has their own options on how they like or dislike their tires or anything and I am here to say that I plan on replacing them here in the next few months with the exact same. I wished they were better in the snow and on ice but not to the point that will cause me to buy another brand. So, 55k miles, no rotation and they still offer a quiet ride, stabilized feel when driving and when given the drive straight test ( you know when you are driving on the highway and you take your hands off of the steering wheel to see if the car drives straight )…. and yes, I know there are other factors here but it still drives straight. I think I should get a discount for this amazing promotional review. Seriously though, I am supper picky and living in the mid-west need daily dependability due to the diverse weather changing. Excellent tires.

  19. Bought my kia brand new with the factory install Nexen tires. All but one tire is left on my car at this point. Ive encountered side wall failure. and overall abnormal wear which resulted in replacement or tire puncture. Ive moved on to another brand at this point and im much happier.

  20. I bought a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited in Feb 2018. It had maybe 40 miles on it. These tires had 1352 miles when I experienced a blowout driving approx 38-40 mph in the city, no pot holes or debris, straight smooth road. Left rear tire made loud bang noise and TMPS alarm went off and tire went to 0 in less then 5 seconds. After changing the tire, I noticed that there was definitely a material defect. There was a hole about 1/2 inch with material left (a tear more or less) on the interior sidewall, tire was not punctured. There was also pitting in the sidewall from an obviously poorly made tire. I have notified Nexen QA department and filled out paperwork and tons of pictures for a refund, I am still awaiting a reply. I was told if they didn’t have enough info that I would have to ship the tire to them for inspection. I wish I could post pictures. STAY AWAY FROM THESE TIRES! I am lucky I was not in a 50 mph curve.

  21. These came standard when I purchased my 2017 Kia Forte sedan…horrible in the snow, Absolutely no traction. Ok in the rain. Horrible wearing. Tires are almost completely bald at 30,000 miles

  22. The tire is loud and stiff. I would rather have a set of performance tires on the car. I only bought this tire because I wanted to match the other 3 factory installed ones.

  23. Tires have 2800 miles, Tread looks good at 8/32. OEM from Kia . Ave driver (not a spirited one) in Chicagoland. When road is wet front tires spin considerably when accelerating from stop. When dry tires increasingly slip/spin when accelerating from stop. Going to replace now as do not have confidence in wet road handling and as Ned Stark says … Winter is coming. Disappointing to replace with so few miles, but better to spend the $$$ now rather than have an avoidable crash.

  24. I drive mostly 50-60mph and have no major complaints in comfort and handling when conditions are dry, however, I have come to expect that I will hydroplane on any puddle present in the roadway. No experience with ice/snow. Poor tread-life as I am at 30,000 miles and they are in need of replacing (rotated every 7,500 miles.) There are better tires available for the money.
