The CrossClimate SUV is Michelin’s Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire originally developed for Original Equipment use on the Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS (non-US market). The CrossClimate SUV meets industry severe snow service requirements and is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don’t receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.
The CrossClimate SUV features an all-season compound molded into a highly directional tread pattern with nearly solid transverse ribs for handling stability and dry traction. Wide lateral grooves and open shoulders provide a direct path to evacuate water from beneath the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance, while the bevel-edged tread blocks provide grip on damp surfaces. 3D self-locking sipes create additional biting edges for foul-weather traction, and Emerging grooves in the shoulder help retain confident winter traction as the tire wears. The biting edges combined with the specialized compound deliver the traction needed to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol (3PMSF).
The internal construction of the CrossClimate SUV consists of a single-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement aids in handling performance and provides high-speed durability.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol (3PMSF) provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

The tires are fairly new on my Jeep. The review would be better done after a year.
These are probably the best tires I’ve ever purchased. We had a very rainy spring and the tires were excellent – no hydroplaning at all. I felt complete control in heavy rain conditions.
I live in an area where the paving is rough and noisy. One section of road we travel daily was very loud. Both my wife and I were shocked at how much better these tires are! We are very happy with the performance, noise level and look of these tires!
I swapped out my stock michelin touring all-seasons for this set after seeing glowing reviews. So far I have been extremely impressed. The old michelins were solid, but these are better in every way. I notice a clear improvement in traction (dry and wet), significantly less road noise, a smoother ride, better grip on aggressive cornering (no more premature chirping) and generally a more confidence inspiring driving experience. I look forward to testing their snow performance next winter, but just looking at the tread it’s obvious they’ll do better than a normal all-season. I have already recommended these to friends and family. So far they are the best tires I’ve had. Hopefully tread life will be reasonable.
Best tires I’ve ever had on any vehicle. Will buy these as long as they are available. Very responsive, quiet, and smooth. Great grip/traction.
Changed from “PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE ALL SEASON +” to the Michelin. Short version, local dealer sold me a set of junk. I removed and gave them away after ordering Pirellis from TireRack. Was happy about everything but noise. Many passengers believed RX400 was the source of the noise. Very good tires in general, but audible in day to day and loud on concrete. The Michelins have been much better. Both tires were XL rated which I prefer with weight of the hybrid, never mind the ‘utes weight in general. Past tires struggled to handle quick acceleration (I have to make left across 4 lane highway leaving work) resulting in traction control throttle cut. The Pirellis were substantially better but still prone to chirping (less sever, but still unwanted throttle cut). So far the Michelins have been great for finding solid traction. Noise is significantly reduced across all surfaces. Of note, where the Pirelli would “slap” the Michelins have a much less distracting “thump” on bad surfaces. I have noticed the Michelins “dig in” to the puddles common here in heavy rain, but as long as you expect it, just add a little steering input. Beats hydroplaning.So let me put it this way, I will likely put these on my mother’s RX350 when she needs tires. My main reason for changing from Pirelli was wear, and if the Michelins beat them there too, I’ll be mounting another set when the time comes. As someone who doesn’t get the appeal of “5 rib” tire ads (I don’t drive a semi), the tread pattern is a nice change too.
