The Azenis RT615K+ is a further evolution of Falken Tire’s championship-winning Extreme Performance Summer tire, the Azenis RT615K. Developed for drivers of muscle cars, sports cars, street rods and performance sedans who want ultimate grip in warm, dry and wet conditions, the Azenis RT615K+ is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- or below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Utilizing the proven internal construction and motorsports-inspired asymmetric tread pattern as its predecessor, the Azenis RT615K+ features Falken’s latest Extreme Summer Performance-targeted compound. The updated compound is designed to further satisfy the increased performance expectations of competitive drivers through additional dry grip. The Massive Sport Side Shoulder Blocks deliver extreme levels of lateral traction through turns, and the solid center rib effectively puts the power to the ground by providing constant contact with the road. Inboard circumferential grooves and notched tread blocks help evacuate water from the contact patch, improving wet traction and hydroplaning resistance.

Internal construction of the Azenis RT615K+ includes a high-tension casing to help increase handling response and high-speed stability. Twin, high-tensile steel belts are reinforced by a spirally-wrapped nylon Joint-less Cap Ply to promote even wear and durability.

Extreme Performance Summer tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Note: Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Extreme Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. While compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.


  1. I was not happy with the wear rate on these tires. we chose to run these tires for an endurance race on a smooth track. By the end of the weekend the tires were worn completely out. The second day of racing was in the rain and a lot of the life of the tire was already used up at that point. wet-grip was good but when enough water accumulated on the pavement the grip would drop off fast.In the past we have been consistently getting 2 or 3 weekends of racing out of a set of tires in the same car. The tires had very good grip but it was not worth the trade-off of the accelerated tread-wear.

  2. Switched from running Hankook Ventus R-S4 ($162) and Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 ($117) [on 2 set of rims] to the Falken Azenis RT615K+ ($152). I used the V12’s and RT615K+ as daily driver tires, but also ran the RT615K+ and R-S4’s a few times in autox events. The V12’s were clearly an inferior performance tire, but also clearly they would have lasted longer. For autox, the RT615K+ and R-S4’s both seem great. Maybe not Hoosierstone great, but very good performance and very predictable/controllable near the limit. They were close enough in performance that without an A/B type comparison, you will not be able to tell the difference. I’m not sure how many miles I got out of the R-S4’s (that I actually bought slightly used), but I was impressed to be able to get 17,200 miles out of the RT615K+’s. They were pretty completely shot at the end and finally retired due to a puncture on the freeway, but I actually autox’d them very close to the end and their performance was still very good. And FYI, they behaved super well with the puncture/going flat at freeway speed. I ran the RT615K+ at 3-5 psi over factory recommendations and they seemed a bit on the harsh side, but other than that, I had no issues. There was a small amount of tire noise, but it was not loud nor an irritating sound. I would highly recommend them and am now on my 2nd set.

Changed from the 615’s to the Nitto 555R GTs and I’m going back as soon as I burn these Nitto’s off… I’ve had a lot of different tyres on my car and none… none are better than the Falken’s for the track and overall performance. Like many others, I was shocked at how well these tyres perform in the wet- much more confidence in these than any other . Grip is outstanding and corning is superb- no roll and very predictable going into and out of the apex… Daily street performance is excellent- I’ve had guys chase me down to ask about them because of the traction and low noise when accelerating… wear is not something I worry about with any max trye- don’t expect high mileage right! Really happy with these and I wished I’d never switched in the first place!

  4. I Falken Azenis on my 1992 Miata from roughly April to October. The tires were amazing when new. Moderately noisy. Very sticky. They were great over the summer then became terrifying when the first really cold weather set in. They would simply not get warm. I ran them approximately 10000 miles. Even if the cold weather had not set in, it would have been time to replace. It was a fun experiment. I replaced with some all season radials that were good. Not as insanely sticky, but good enough.

I use these tires on my 95 mustang for some daily driving and for autocross use. and I love them, these tires do WAY better in the wet and cold than they ought to considering the performance they provide in the summer. I live in Minnesota and I’ve had no problem driving on these things even when I defiantly shouldn’t (into subfreezing temperatures, light snow and sleet), in the extreme cold and wet I feel that they are way better than the competition in their category, while sacrificing very little grip in typical summer performance applications. overall if you are looking for the absolute best summer performance you may want to look elsewhere, but for someone who is looking for a extreme performance tire, and don’t want to worry about poor weather conditions these are the tires for you

  6. I have 3 track days and roughly 800 street miles on these tires so far. The tires are not even half way worn yet. If you put these tires on a wheel that will give it a decent stretch they are very responsive with stable side walls and provide tons of grip. I can pull about .15 to .2 Gs more in steady state cornering with these tires compared to when I have factory sized max performance summer tires on the car. Wet traction is surprisingly very good. I have not been on a wet track with them, but I have been on wet streets and traction is better than my max performance summer tires. Note that I am referring to wet roads, not roads with standing water.Grip is very good right out of the gate on the track and gets better with a little heat. I can only get them to start feeling greasy if I drive like an idiot and slide too much in the corners. Keep them stuck to the track with only moderate slip angles and they will grip the entire session, at least on a light car like mine.Road noise is very tolerable. Of course, it is the worst on the ride home leaving the track, but after a few hundred more miles of only street driving they go back to normal.

  7. Excellent tire for a lightweight rear wheel drive sports car. Little bit of road noise, to be expected from a sticky tire. I have them on my 1990 325is. After 9500 miles there’s very little treadwear even with aggressive backroad driving.
