Nissan Murano luxury sport utility vehicles come from the factory equipped with low profile tires mounted on large diameter alloy wheels. The Dunlop Grandtrek WT M3 Light Truck/SUV Performance Winter tire was developed so the drivers of these vehicles could retain their vehicle’s original wheel diameters while receiving cold weather dry road performance along with snow traction.

The Grandtrek WT M3 features a directional tread design to help maintain good traction on wet and slush-covered roads while its high-density, lateral zigzag sipes and independent tread blocks provide the edges to help bite through snow. The Grandtrek WT M3 is a tire for the performance sport utility vehicle drivers who want to combine snow traction with dry road responsiveness and handling.

Dunlop Grandtrek WT M3 winter radials meet the industry’s severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol. They feature blackwall styling and are currently available in the 235/65R18 110H (H-speed rated) size used as Original Equipment on front-wheel and all-wheel drive Nissan Murano vehicles.

Install Grandtrek WT M3 tires in sets of four only.

Never mix radial snow tires with tires of other construction, size, ply rating, performance rating or pattern type. For the best driving results, Dunlop recommends that a complete set of four snow tires be mounted on a vehicle.

  1. Spent considerable time researching best winter tire for my heavy weight ml550. The WT M3 is new and not many reviews, so it was a leap of faith based on what I did find. The tire is just plain exceptional! Grip is excellent, yet I have not experienced deep snow yet. The stability and steering response is considerably better than the OEM Conti 4×4 tires that came on the car (shame on Mercedes for putting “junk” tires on a $75,000 automobile!!) Cornering control is 80% better and the tires are not one bit noisier than the Conti driving at sustained speeds of 65 to 85 miles per hour– a very real surprise. The sidewalls are stiffer, so the ride will not be as cushy as the Conti; the trade off is worth it, believe me. I am not easily impressed (by something as mundane as tires) ,but these tires feel safe, sturdy and worth the cost, in my opinion. Heartily recommend the WT M3 for any heavy, mechanically-sophisticated SUV. Dunlop did it right this time.recommend them for any heavy, mechanically -sophisticated SUV. Dunlop did it right this time.

  2. this is my first time using dedicated winter tires and i got to tell you that its amazing how it makes your life easier while driving in snow. i find no problems as it all says on reviews that it will be noisy or stiff ride on dry roads. the tires are as smooth as my previous continental 4×4 contact m+s but now i have more confidence in driving in rainy or snowy condition. highly recommended for the price. thanks to tirerack.com

  3. I have an full-time 4 wheel drive SUV. I replaced the dealer OEM tires for these due to Wisconsin winters. this will be my third winter with the dunlops. We get a blizzard, maybe two each yr. I can say these tires are amazing. My wife is a tentative driver in the winter and scared easily in snowy conditions. She said she never once slipped or had the tires spin on her. She is confident and never nervous to drive in the snow now. Thats all I needed to hear to understand the value of good winter tires. I Wonder while I am driving past cars in the ditches, why they don’t invest in winter tires, especially since we live in Wisconsin. Coupled with the all the technology the Mercedes GL450 has plus these tires; driving in snow is like driving on wet concrete. Its actually a joy to drive in the snow with these dunlops. I would advise anyone to invest in their safety and purchase these tires. its a smart move.
