The Turanza ER33 is Bridgestone’s Grand Touring Summer tire often used as Original Equipment on sports coupes and sedans from Infiniti, Lexus and Toyota. It was developed to blend good looks and predictable handling with low noise and a smooth ride, as well as provide traction on wet and dry roads. Like all summer tires, the Turanza ER33 is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or ice.
The Turanza ER33 molds a summer tread compound into a 5-rib, symmetric tread design that provides predictable handling and traction on dry roads, while circumferential tread grooves and lateral notches help evacuate water from under the tire’s footprint to enhance wet traction and reduce hydroplaning.
The tire’s internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon stabilizing the tread area to enhance handling and high-speed capability. The Turanza ER33 features a rayon or polyester cord body (depending upon application) to enhance ride.

My Lexus IS350 has staggered sizes. The fronts wore out pretty bad on the inside edges of the tires. Forced to replace. However, the rear tires, although replaced when the fronts wore out, still had approx. 5/32nd” remaining. (after 25,500 miles!) If not for the cost, I would have bought these tires again. However, I’m bummed that I replaced the rears with about 50% tread life remaining.
Yes I drive a Lexus but the car also has full frame braces with full suspension and poly mounts. My car also has a solid steering rack. The car is set for handling and the tires I had before were nitto 555 on forge wheels. That tire grip beyond my expectation but I needed an extra set of tires and came across these bridgestones. They are unpredictable and down right dangerous in my opinion. Im not a race car driver nor do I hit every turn at lighting speed, but I am more of a precision type driver and these tires are unpredictable. They grip but into a turn it feels like it wants to roll over and then grip out of no where causing the car to pop back at you. This is going at 60mph. Its squirms when an 18wheeler drives next to you and just feels as if it has a mind of its own. It made the car feel like a gokart. On the straights it felt fine but with the sidewalls being the way they are into the corner they just dont seem to give the right feedback. I have seen many of them go for sale used because people were ditching them. My tires are not stretch or stance in any way. Ride comfort they are nice and quiet. I switched back to hankook and my nitto (I have 3 sets of wheels with same size and offset ) and the car felt solid. Maybe on smooth clean roads in the summer they will perform better but as a daily set of tires in texas they are disapoint me. I expected more for the brand and price. I dont feel safe in them.
I’ve driven on my Yokohamas before i swapped for these.These tires are crap!I aquaplane like no tomorrow even with low standing water and low speed. I am swapping them out for a Goodyear tire F1 Assy2 right now.
