The Roadian AT Pro RA8 is Nexen’s On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed for 2WD and 4WD pickup, truck and SUV drivers who want a combination of on- and off-road versatility, good wear and year-round versatility, including traction in light snow.

Roadian AT Pro RA8 tires feature a light truck tread compound molded into a symmetric design. Wide shoulder blocks promotes on- and off-road durability while an aggressive staggered center rib enhances highway stability. Dual-Block design prevents debris build-up and self-cleans the tread blocks for continued grip while a micro-groove design enhances driving traction on wet, muddy and snow-covered roads.

The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by two layers of nylon for strength and durability while a 2-ply polyester casing promotes ride comfort.

  1. These tires have surprised me! Living in Colorado I get off road a lot in my 4×4 Tacoma. With only a 2″ lift I’m not doing any rock climbing but, when I put my Taco in “locker” nothing has stopped me yet. They’re quiet on the road AND VERY GOOD IN THE SNOW AND RAIN. With 16+k on the tires, I still have 10/32″ + of tread left. These are awesome tires for what they are. I will definitely get another set. Great price too!

  2. Actually, I would have to say that I am quite impressed by the performance of this tire on all road conditions. They were an OEM tire for my dally. I haul RV,s out of Indiana on various road conditions, including through the Rocky Mountains. I have not as yet found any conditions where I have not felt confident on these tires. Keep in mind that I have good weight on my truck ( often a heavy fifth wheel and a 75 gallon slip tank) which I believe helps me in icy or snowy road conditions. I would only consider another tire for the purposes of comparison. At this point I cannot comment on the longevity of the tire or its fuel efficiency.

  3. Good Tire for the money. Much better than Cooper Discovery in my estimation. Quiet, good traction, decent tread wear.

  4. When I bought my truck it had a set of nitto’s on it and the nexen tires I bought just over three years still have some tread on them and still is a strong tire I had a set on a Tahoe I had great tire last long great traction tough tire so worth every penny

  5. I have been reviewing multiple all season /all terrain SUV tires, got it down to a choice between Geolandar AT-S and Nexen Roadian AT Pro. I saved $200 over the Yokohams by going w/NEXEN. I could not have made a better decision. The Roadians are extremely meaty looking on my Montero but are smooth as silk on the hwy. Ive ran them at 40 psi, and had zero issues communting to work or home when it snowed. Sure footed, in snowy curves and unplowed roads. Worst driving you can encounter is when the rds are plowed BUT snow is now packed because of traffic, these grip and you never have to worry about spinning, use caution and you will be ok. I get so many compliments about the looks,,I agree NEXEN is not a well known name, advertising is minimal, they prefer word of mouth I bet, because every review I’ve seen mentioned not well known brand. The warranty sold me, they will tow your vehicle or come to you to change if you get a flat…no one does that w/o AAA membership. Quit pondering about your next all season/all terrain tires…get these Nexens!

  6. great traction. no hydro-planning. angled tread pattern a must for snow ice. have them on my 96 f150 4×4. they look great. thanks.

  7. I noticed about 50,000 miles how will these tires wear. You must understand that Rotations and Tire pressures are the key to long life.I expect to Remove and replace this set at around 65,000.

  8. Purchased my truck in 2014 used but just had 1500 miles on it and now have 53,700 miles on them. Pull a 5th wheel camper and couldn’t be happier with these tires. Also NEVER been rotated on the back. Spoke to some old timers that have pulled campers for years and they told me they never rotated their tires.

  9. Came stock on 16 Ram 3500 DRW 4×4. Tires wore very unevenly all around and fronts were shot at 20K despite rotating. Terrible wet traction. Drove mostly highway with 4,800 lb truck camper in the bed. Would not purchase again. Replaced with Michelins MS/2’s that were great in wet weather and snow.

  10. At 2200 miles 4 of the seven tires started to separate in the tread. I tried to call Nexen warranty about this problem and got absolutely no help what so ever! I will be ordering a new set of Yokohama’s today, and throwing the Nexens away.
