The Optimo H426 is one of Hankook’s Grand Touring All-Season tires developed for Original Equipment (O.E.) use on sporty sedans. The Optimo H426 is designed to provide attractive looks, predictable handling and year-round traction, even in occasional light snow.

The Optimo H426 features a symmetric, independent-block tread design that uses an all-season tread compound to provide traction on dry, wet and light snow-covered roads. The tire’s internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon to stabilize the tread area and a polyester cord body to help cushion the ride.

*Specific sizes featuring low rolling resistance technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire’s Specs tab.

  1. If you drive in a lot of rain, this tire is not for you. Our Mini Hydroplanes quite a bit with this tire. Great when the roads are dry so not much of an all season tire.

  2. These are without a doubt the worse tires i¿ve had on any car I¿ve owned. I can¿t believe they came stock on my 2017 Mini convertible when the stock tires for my 2006 Mini convertible are exceptional. I don¿t know who —-s worse, Mini for choosing these tires or Hankook for designing and manufacturing them. I¿m actually jealous of the reviewer that¿s angry about the short service life they¿re experiencing. I will agree with others about the abysmal wet handling and hydroplaning. Dry traction and cornering performance isn¿t the best either. Who ever thought these tires would make a good choice for a car that¿s supposed to be fun to drive should not only be fired, they should be homeless just on principle alone.

  3. These tires came stock on my 2015 MCS 2dr Hatchback when I purchased in Jan 2015. The tires are fairly quiet for a RFT (runflat tire). However, come spring, I was experiencing quite a bit of slippage and hydroplaning during the rain. At first, I coughed it up to maybe it’s just me. However, after a couple years, on these tires, and about 17000 miles on them, I can say without reservation, these tires are horrible on anything but dry roads. During a steady rain just this past week on the interstate, I was hydroplaning at 50mph and I was terrified I was going to lose it. According to my shop, there’s nothing wrong with the tires and I have plenty of life still left on them. But I do not feel safe with them. I drive my other cars if I know it’s going to rain. I plan on replacing them with something better (which would be anything but Hankooks or Kuhmos… didn’t have a good experience with the latter either). It’s sad that they were OEM and the price I paid for the vehicle, it should have come with something better instead of something this poor performing. Why have a car that advertises “go-kart” handling but crap tires? My 2003 MCS was outfitted with Bridgestone RFTs and I never experienced any sort of slippage or loss of traction on curbs when I drive it.

  4. Using phone and the site not letting me choose scores. Worst tread wear I’ve ever seen. Came own on 2016 mini cooper 2 4dr. We’re at 15k miles on the car and tires are already bald. Will never replace these.
