Michelin Primacy 3 ZP is a Grand Touring Summer run-flat tire. Grand Touring Summer run-flat tires provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph, even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss. They are designed for drivers who want a combination of sophisticated appearance, competent handling and H-speed rated (or higher) durability, along with dry and wet traction. Often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sophisticated coupes and luxurious performance sedans, Grand Touring Summer run-flat tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
O.E. Grand Touring Summer run-flat tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle’s original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. run-flat tires’ performance category and specifications.
NOTE: Run-flat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.

Founder at Tiresout. Used to be working as an engineer at Bridgestone Tires Akron Technical Center. The responsibilities included but were not limited to technical computing, indoor & outdoor testing of new tires.
I installed these tires after the OEM Pirelli’s wore out. I was not impressed with the ride and noise from the OEM Pirellis and thought they were not suitable for a luxury sedan, which led me to try the Michelin’s, a brand with which I had good prior experience. In short, they transformed the car, they were quieter, rode much better and handled very well. I really enjoyed my car much more after fitting the Michelin’s. My 750Li had the M Sport package with staggered wheels, so the tires could not be rotated front to rear and it was surprising that after 16,500 miles, the rears were down to 4/32″ tread on one 3/32″ on the other, while the fronts had about 7/32″ left! At that point I returned my leased car and was dinged for the one tire that was below 4/32″. Whilst tread wear was not great, the 750Li is a powerful, heavy car, so I’m guessing this was not so bad. I highly recommend these tires. My new leased car has Continental SSR’s, so far, I dislike them, harsh and noisy, just like the Pirelli’s. I’m thinking of putting a set of Michelin’s on it now and save the Conti’s for lease return!
I bought these tires to replace the Eagle LS-A which came on my BMW X-1. The Michelins provide a quiet and smooth ride, and absorb bumps and highway strip noise amazingly. Here on Rt 684 (Brewster, NY) the ride is very improved. Unfortunately the steering response has become vague and I can feel the car move around when the wind blows. On a car with the precise chassis and steering of a BMW these were the wrong tire to buy.
I live in Australia and have only done 2000 km.So far tyres are great. They don’t feel like rft.
Good performing tire, the original tires that came with my 750Li. They are responsive and provide a smooth ride however, I cannot be certain how much of this is the result of the tire since the cabin and ride of the 750 is designed to be quite and comfortable. My main complaint about the tire is tread life. My first pair I changed around 20,000 miles and the second pair around 30,000.
Quiet so far, all good on responsiveness.
These tires are absolutely amazing! Hugs the corners, performs well in the rain, and quiet. Perfect runflat performance tires for Infinity Q50 Sport Hybrid!
