The Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season is Goodyear’s Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and powerful performance sedans who want to enjoy driving their cars any time of the year. It is designed to meet challenging road conditions with confidence-inspiring all-season traction, even in light snow.

Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season tires use a specialized tread compound that delivers traction in any season. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring specific dry and all-season zones to combine race-inspired handling in warm weather with all-season traction in cold temperatures. Powerful outboard tread blocks in the Dry Handling Zone put more rubber on the road to deliver dry traction and handling. The inboard All-Season Zone helps push water and slush away from the tread for enhanced all-season traction in rain and light snow. While allowing additional biting edges to generate more traction in rain and snow, Tredlock Technology microgrooves lock together for confident grip in turns.

The tire’s internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide cord cap plies to blend high-performance handling with high-speed durability.

Limited sizes of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season are available with Goodyear’s SoundComfort Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. Just installed a set of these on my 2007 Maserati Quattroporte so not many miles yet to make a truly accurate review however I do have to say, and this pains me greatly, being a native of Akron, Ohio, where Goodyear is headquartered, these tires are very noisy, they remind me of a set of Bridgestones that are getting worn out. That alone might be reason enough to give me pause before purchasing another set even though I like that the money goes back to my hometown. On a brighter note, I drove in a torrential downpour last night and the tires did a magnificent job at shedding water, which obviously I’d expect from any new set but that has always seemed to be a hallmark of Goodyear tires that they have excellent wet weather traction. I will keep the review updated as time and miles progress and perhaps if the noise levels don’t get any worse, I will look at these again in another 10 or 15,000 miles when I am due for another set

  2. Replaced run flat Michelin oem that went to junk in 20k. Far superior tire and I am very pleased. Replacing them with Goodyear Eagle Sport. Almost bought same F1 again. Great experience with these. Priced right.

  3. I bought these to replace the terrible Dunlop run flats on my Q50S. They ride SO MUCH better and don’t follow cracks and ruts in the road like the stock tires. They are however noisier than I had hoped for. First impression overall is a huge improvement over the Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX.

  4. This is one of those first-impression reviews. I like to review tires both when new, and when worn-out.Obviously, any new tire will be an improvement (well, hopefully) over worn tires, but sometimes you know when something really works well. I rent a lot of cars, and once had a Chevy Suburban with Eagle F1 Asym A/S tires, and finally decided to give them a try on my daily driver. They feel very familiar — certainly a soft ride, but oddly, with impressive grip to the road. Cornering is very confident. I do tend to drive “average” (better mileage, fewer brake pads), but occasionally I will push the car, and the Eagles respond. They respond very well.Previous tires included the stock Continental 4X4 (a true on-road/off-road combination tire), Yokohama YK580’s, Continental DWS, and now these. I liked the low-rolling resistance (LRR) of the YK580 and DWS, but in return for the terrific fuel economy, you lose just a little bit of ride comfort. That comfort comes back with the Eagles, and at least when new, without any loss in wet or dry traction (the former is important as we get a lot of hard rain here). With a UTQG traction rating of AA, that can sometimes mean a softer compound, and I think it lost just a tiny bit of that LRR that helped bump the fuel economy with the others. As tires wear, the fuel economy drops a bit too, so it may decline a bit further. I’m fine with that, as the comfort/traction part of the formula works so well. The F1’s are possibly better suited to heavier vehicles, or at least those who don’t want to feel the tar strips under their wheels. I almost went Continental DWS 06 again (it was close), but I just had to try the Eagle F1s.As many say, I will “try” to update the review (and probably forget for 2 years), but for now, the first impression is excellent. Only a few tires over the years feel this good right away (Pilot Sport, and the above DWS come to mind). With the rebate, they were a good deal too.

  6. Not a big fan of Goodyear tires. They just don’t work for me. All ready had a flat at 1060 miles, maybe not the tires fault but everytime I have had Goodyears I get a lot of flats.

  7. Just got these tires and my initial impression is Great. I have not had Goodyear Tires for a number of years and thought I would give these a try due to reviews I had read. Goodyear has definitely made a lot of improvements over the years. They definitely corner a lot better than Grand Touring Tires. The Focus rides and handles better with these tires on the car. As the years go by I will let people know how they are doing.

  8. when its the only tires I have on my car I cant compare it to anything its not like I have 10 sets of tires to compare
