Wrangler SilentArmor tires are Goodyear’s premium On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tires designed to please pickup, van and SUV drivers with their satisfying on- and off-road capabilities. In addition to standard-duty Wrangler SilentArmor tires, Goodyear also offers a heavy-duty Wrangler SilentArmor Pro-Grade version for three-quarter and one-ton light trucks that regularly haul or tow heavy loads. All Wrangler SilentArmor tires are designed to handle tough off-road conditions, provide a smooth on-road ride and generate traction in dry, wet and snowy conditions.
Wrangler SilentArmor tires use long-wearing, silica-blend tread compounds (Pro-Grade tires feature an even more chip- and chunk-resistant tread compound that also enhances wear in high-torque applications). These compounds are molded into a multi-faceted symmetric tread design with shoulder and sidewall appearances that offer a rugged look and blend on-road comfort with off-road and wintertime traction (tires meet the industry’s severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol).
Goodyear’s Durawall rubber compound is molded at the base of the tread grooves to increase resistance to stone/rock drilling. The tire’s internal structure includes an Armor Zone that consists of twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced by a layer of DuPont KEVLAR cord to combine strength with comfort. The Durawall rubber compound is also used in the sidewalls to resist scuffing and abrasion to protect the polyester cord body, and rim guards help protect wheels from accidental on- or off-road hazards.
Wrangler SilentArmor On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tires are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol to identify they meet industry severe snow service standards.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Founder at Tiresout. Used to be working as an engineer at Bridgestone Tires Akron Technical Center. The responsibilities included but were not limited to technical computing, indoor & outdoor testing of new tires.
I have bought a set of these for different vehicles, and have not been disappointed. This is definitely one best tires designed.
I’ve only had them for about a month. Haven’t taken them off road in the dirt, mud, sand or rock. Seem to ride fairly smooth on the highway and they don’t make much noise. I have to slow down when I corner. Last tires were beasts. They cornered well but they were noisy and it was a very rough ride.
These tires were some of the better investments I’ve made on my vehicle, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with them. Even with a more aggressive driving style on the streets at times, they never seem to lose grip unless I do something I know I shouldn’t be doing (I’m talking taking a roundabout at 25 MPH in the rain that you would be pushing it at 20 MPH when the weather’s perfect and roads are dry). Even in mud and dirt, they don’t want to let loose if you stomp the throttle.I was also amazed at the fuel economy they’ve had, especially considering they have a decently aggressive tread pattern. Now, they’re not going to suddenly turn a Z71 4WD Tahoe into a 20+ MPG machine by themselves, but I can still consistently churn out 18+ MPG on the highway at 70 MPH, in a vehicle that has no business getting that kind of fuel mileage. They’re also quieter than I expected. While there is still road noise, it isn’t nearly as loud as I would’ve expected from an A/T tire.If you’re looking for a tire that has enough aggressiveness to get you almost anywhere you want to go, but that also isn’t so aggressive it kills your fuel economy and creates a lot of road noise, this tire is a great fit for your vehicle.
Only put about 1,000 miles on them so far so hard to tell how they’ll hold up over the long run but am happy with all aspects of their performance.
I’m very pleased with this tire. The looks, ride and noise level are great and also a good value. Thanks
I’ve been very happy with this tires. They work really well on this truck. The truck has a locking differential so traction is not an issue with these tires. Ride is good, noise level is good for an A/T tire. I like them better than BFG A/T K/O s.
7000 miles and 2 replaced on warranty. Loved the tires until I started getting a vibration. 3 trips to the tire shop to have them “rebalanced”. Finally they changed the tire and sent me on my way. Good in snow, ok on ice, quiet and smooth on the highway until they come apart. This is my 2nd try with goodyear tires and the 2nd time they started coming apart with lots of treadlife left. Want to like them but tired of wasting time and money.
