Streetable Track & Competition tires are designed for drivers who participate in racetrack lapping days and car club events*. However they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning. Additionally, they should not be driven, stored nor serviced in near- or below-freezing temperatures.

I run a track prepared 991 GT3. Previously have run the Cup 2, Sport Maxx Race and Trofeos. Wanted to try the Race 2 since it is the OEM tire selected for the GT3 RS. The tires were ordered heat cycled. Tire pressure is important – Hot front 33-34 psi, rear 35-36 is where they perform best. Based upon steering response, braking and feedback this tire is slightly better than the SM Race and the Cup 2; just below the Trofeo. Based upon my experience, the Trofeo is the best overall performer of the group, but it has a particular narrow performance window before it heat cycles out . The Race 2 is predictable. It is a good choice when you consider track performance and track durability.
