The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico is Pirelli’s Street/Sport Truck All-Season tire developed for the North American market to be used on powerful crossover and sport utility vehicles, as well as pickups possessing very sporting dispositions. Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico tires are designed for drivers looking for style, handling and traction for America’s dry, wet and wintry conditions, even including occasional light snow.

The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico radial’s high performance all-season tread compound provides progressive grip when cornering. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that features a notched outboard shoulder rib to enhance steering response, cornering stability and high-speed precision. Special Z-profile intermediate tread blocks flank a continuous center rib to blend foul-weather traction with acoustic comfort while wide circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to enhance handling and high-speed durability.

Limited sizes of the Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

  1. tire come with new mercedez benz 2017. only 16500 mile and tires are bold. called tire company but no warranty. before buy new tire careful for brand and warranty.

  2. This is my second set of Scorpion Zero Asimetrico. The SC Asimetricos are a decent tire. Definitely comparable to the stock Continentals I had on before with my stock wheels. I would be a satisfied customer until I got a bubble on my rear tire sidewall last Thursday. I’ve only had this new set of tires for 7 months. I don’t drive this car everyday and I don’t drive much when I do, so there are very little miles on these new tires. The roads I drive on are fairly decent as well so there are no road hazards or potholes that these tires suffer through. The tires maybe have 2000 miles on them. When I called Pirelli for a warranty claim, they make the process difficult. It seems that they do everything they possibly can to avoid admitting fault for a faulty tire, even though there is no evidence of any road hazards on the tire. I have Pirellis on 3 of my cars right now and I will be sure to never EVER get Pirellis again due to the poor customer service.

  3. The sidewall is very narrow and rubber compound is hard. Ride is smooth and quiet on the highway, however around town on pavement imperfections, potholes, speed bumps, etc. – very harsh and rough !

  4. I have these on my wife’s Mercedes. At 23,000 miles these tires are almost bald. Definitely won’t buy them to replace the factory set!

  5. OEM tires and balaned every 6 to 8,000 miles with proper inflation. Developed cupping after only 12,000 miles and only have one year warranty and no mileage guarantee. Should not have to replace tires on a car less than 2 years old. Going now with Michelin Premier LTX.

  6. I had this tire on my lowered with slight camber 2014 Jeep SRT. Probably the best tire Ive ever owned. Went 40k miles and the camber finally got them. Still had life due to proper rotations.

  7. These were OEM tires on my 2013 F150 Limited, I switched to the Michelin Premier LTX only after getting a flat on one of the Pirellis after driven 49600 on the original tires. The tire treads are currently at 1.5cm above the tread wear indicator bar as were the Pirellis before switching to the Michelins. I currently have 107700 miles on the truck, leaving 58100 miles driven on the Michelins. There are differences in the two tires, the Pirelli’s are sportier with noticeable positive feedback in handling and responsiveness, the Michelins are well behaved; quite, silky smooth ride, but don’t handle road imperfections or bridge joints well.My MPG increased with the Michelin on the F150, going from 16.3 to 17.4 average MPG, I m not sure if the increased MPG average is due to the Michelins begin a lighter tire or better ROI.I’m considering going back to the OEM Pirellis, because of their sportiness and my fondness to occasionally attack the backroads in the wee hours of the mornings before hitting the beltway and freeways.

  8. This is my second set of Scorpion Zero Asimetrico. The SC Asimetricos are a decent tire. Definitely comparable to the stock Continentals I had on before with my stock wheels. 9. Acquired this vehicle/tire at 13k and was not rotated during that time. Proper PSI and 7500mi rotation after. Dry traction/comfort very good. Wet traction is good. felt in control. Noise is not intrusive but always know it there. Could have gotten over 50k+ had it been maintained from the start.

  10. Just retired these original equipment Pirelli’s after 56,000 trouble free miles. I’ve had Pirelli’s on previous vehicles and like the basic quality of the tire. This tire is a little stiffer and louder than a normal passenger tire, but it’s a very good fit for a crossover like the Tiguan, I understand why VW has this as an OE tire. Ended up replacing this tire with a Continental mostly due to warranty, price, and Tire Rack test results. Overall, I was very happy with this Pirelli and would buy it again if the Continental doesn’t work out for me.

  11. I really have loved these tires as far as excellent performance/handling, I would purchase them again. However, I did have to drive on some winter/snow conditions once and they were TERRIBLE, I fish-tailed all over the road – so avoid these if you have any snow/winter driving planned.

  12. These set of tires came with the vehicle when it was purchased. Even though they have a good traction. response and cornering ability, they can be noisy especially in cold weather. They also have a terrible thread life. At just 27K miles the tires are at 3/32. Totally unacceptable considering my driving is mostly city and not spirited. Also they tend to flatten overnight especially when is cold and you’ll have a terrible ride quality on the highway until they warm up good. I noticed a lot of F150 Harley owners have complaints on this tire so I researched and found that the Hankook Ventus ST outperforms this tire in all categories. If you drive in the snow Ventus ST might not be your best choice. If you live where it gets hot most of the year like me then Ventus ST is the tire for your truck. Stay away from Pirelly!

  13. These tires came with my 2010 F-150 HD SuperCrew. 275/45-22’s. To me, all these tires are good for are dry summertime high speed running and burnouts. If I get caught in the rain or light snow, I drive more careful than a grandma because losing control of a 19 foot 2 ton truck is not an experience I recommend. These tires wear out fast—at 20k miles, I should have dumped them because they were losing performance.I do love peeling out which is why I haven’t replace these tires yet (but need to soon!)…thank goodness this is my “sports car” truck that I don’t have to drive for everyday tasks. Will not EVER consider getting these same shoes for my HarleyDavidson edition F150–will try everything else before I come back.

  14. These are great tires when new, they provide a great balance between ride and handling, but that only lasts for the first 10,000 miles. After that the ride becomes harsh and boomy. As the tires wear, wet traction degrades, the vehicle becomes skittish over expansion joints and un even pavement and the tire noise is loud and annoying. This is my 3rd set since purchasing the vehicle. If you want your SUV tires to last longer than 20,000 miles, I suggest looking elsewhere.

  15. OEM tire on my 13 Edge Sport. Performed way better than I expected at 22″, low profile, on a 4,400lb SUV. My driving is mixed driving 65%highway 35% back roads and city/downtown. These corner great and have been great in the rain and light snow. Unplowed snow (2 – 4″) still good, no doubt due to the AWD. The noise level was great until the last few months started to notice it (totally related to the low tread depth and size). Rotated every 5k, pressure checked regularly and car has TPSM so pressure was regularly monitored. Nice even wear across tire, little more on the outside blocks (but as I said they corner great). Have between 3 and 4/32″ left at 32,626 miles (gauged this afternoon). Based upon current driving/mileage, will likely have around 34,500 when replaced mid-Nov. Will be purchasing the Pirellis again, the reviews on other tires just not enough to sway me away to a potential disappointment. (I have owned the Conti Extreme DWS on 2 previous cars (one sports, one sedan) but feel they became noisier faster, and didn’t last any longer. They were better in snow.

  16. I hate buying tires; and I’ve found some experience from Tire Rack reviews to be much much different than mine. I say this to share my own skepticism of this tire.I find these Pirelli Scorpion Assimetrico’s to be darned good.I drive on nothing but dry southern California roadways. They have never been in rain or snow. They are nice and quiet, which is my main desire; more than treadlife or handling. It appears they like to be inflated to at least 32 PSI.I don’t know how long they will last, but so far, so good.

  17. This was my second set in 30k miles on the car. The first set came with the car and I got a good deal from the Audi dealer when I put on the second set. Even though I had only 14k on the other ones, I wanted to give them another try. The tread wares off pretty quickly. I rotated the tires every 5k miles on the dot, kept the tire pressure in check constantly. Time to try something else.

  18. I love these tires. The ride is so smooth and comfortable, so much more than the OE. I’m the original owner with 86k miles on the truck. I’m hoping that these tires last as long or longer than the two previous sets of another brand. I’ve been getting 40-45k ware out of the previous tires, but anticipate additional mileage from these new ones, as they have a harder compound. It is a real joy to get behind the wheel of such a nice driving vehicle.

  19. This is the OEM tire on our vehicle. The first 10,000 miles were OK. Since then the tires have become noticably more noisy and the wear has increased to the point that the outside wear bars are contacted. Very disappointed. The tires were rotated at 5,000 mi as part of the new car service. At 15,000 the dealer refused to rotate as part of the $880.00 service package, the service manager assuring me the tires do not need to be rotated due to the Quatro drive system. I paid our local tire shop to rotate. I’m counting on Tire Rack to help me select a better tire.

  20. The tire traction and handling response when new was well above average. However with just about 5,000 miles the all-around performance changed significantly. At the 20,000 mile mark the tires were ready for replacement. By the time I had them changed at 25,000 miles they were completely shot…nothing left. I now have the Michelin Premier LTX and am hoping for a better experience.

  21. I have a 2010 Lincoln MKX Limited Edition With Pereli Scorpion zero 265/40/22 tires .To be honest I loved the handling of these tires , but they are very noisy. Got about 35K miles and probably another 6K at least. Bought a set of Kumho tires that are very stable and quiet so far. Will let you know the results of these tires.

  22. these tire came stock on my 2011 F150 Harley Edition AWD, at 20,000 miles they were completely worn, by 25,000 miles they were shot. I would NEVER buy these tires again, this is the worst set I have ever had on one of my trucks. I am buying a non OEM tire for the first time ever, I have always purchased the same tire that my truck came with, I will be buying Hankooks this time, worst tire wear I have ever experienced.

  23. I got these tires for my BMW X6, 295 fronts and 335 rears on 22″ wheels. I’ve put about 15,000 miles on them, mostly summer and dry weather driving. For dry weather, these tires are great, I have no complaints. The tread wear is decent, road noise is low, you do feel bumps in the road due to the low profile. I would NOT recommend these if you have any driving to do in snowy/icy conditions. I have X Drive all wheel drive and despite that, my X6 fishtails and slides all over the place in icy conditions. I’ve literally driven down the block, turned back and decided to go home due to basically fishtailing on every turn even if I’m going slow. I would keep these tires as my summer set and get something else for the winter.

  24. I am not one to typically write a review, however my experience with these tires has been great. I drive the ——– out of my truck at times and have been impressed, so much so that I am on my second set at 116,000 miles. I do rotate and balance at every oil change and think that helps. I don’t tow often but I occasionally haul heavy loads but I do think I’m a drag racer and autocrosser at times. The wet traction has never left me skiddish and mud traction I was pleasantly surprised with by not getting stuck. It’s time for another set and I will purchase again. 60,000 for a set of performance tires… I’m in!

  25. On my fourth set 184,637 miles then first ever blow out passenger rear at 80 MPH and came to a stop on I-5 near Disney Land… Tire saved the 22″ rim . SRT 10 viper six passenger truck with top end 157MPH. 0-60 in < 5 sec with cold air intake and chip reflash. Viva Pirelli Scorpion!!!

  26. We bought these tires for my wife’s SUV a couple of years ago and we have been very happy with them. The ride is quiet and comfortable yet they offer a very confident cornering stability in all road conditions and driving situations. As an amateur race car driver I like to test my car’s limits from time to time and I gotta tell you, these tires never disappointed me. I also tested them in a snow blizzard one winter and they handled fairly deep snow without any noticeable issues. As for treadwear, even after 20k miles on them, the tires feel as good as new. A definite winner, which I recommend highly.

  27. I’ve got 84k miles now on my Element. Just purchased my second set of Pirelli SCORPION ZERO ASIMMETRICO tires. The first set I chose to mount on aftermarket wheels when I purchased the vehicle new. When this set wore out at 42,000 miles, I chose an Asian brand to replace due to the savings involved. I was planning to replace these at the end of the summer, but one was recently damaged and needed replacement so I replaced them all. Going back to the Pirelli tires revealed a sharp contrast in comfort and noise reduction. The Pirelli tires also out performed the Asian brand. Now that they’re more competitively priced, for me there’s no choice. Living in N. Nevada, I choose tires primarily for dry traction and drive accordingly when it’s rarely wet or in snow.

  28. This is my 2nd set of these tires (originals lasted 47,000…another 46,000 on this 2nd set), these still have tread but I’m afraid of the cracking so I will replace with the same tires next week. I don’t want a highway failure with the hot summer approaching. Basically, these are excellent tires, and you can expect almost 50,000 miles from them. I’m happy and don’t want to experiment with anything new. Plus the price is quite reasonable.
