The problem I have with these expensive tires is that they can’t be repaired in the case of a minor puncture! On top of that, if you drive a 4×4 all 4 tires should be replaced if one has a minor puncture, regardless of the condition of the other 3!!!. In my case my tires were practically new (13, 000 miles ) . So that’s $2200.00 because of a minor puncture, which is Ludacris! The benefit of run-flat tires is completely removed because if this issue!, in my view!!
This is a good tire. However, this tire wears out so quickly that you need a new set of 4 every year. Add $1750 per year onto the price of a car with these tires. I am surprised a company is even allowed to sell a product like this without a signed disclosure warning the buyer. It’s like buying an expensive pair of shoes that fall apart on the 3rd time you wear them. I am also surprised that Mercedes Benz would want to associate their car with something so…well…disappointing. It makes me not trust Mercedes Benz’s judgment.
These tires are ridiculously expensive and at only 14,000 miles need to be replaced already. I have had my car for almost just a year and already I am being asked and told that the tred is too low and that they need to be replaced. Even in the desctiption of these tires, it says eco friendly and extended tred life. I would like to know where my tred life went because I am a moderate driver and pretty calm at the wheel. For these tires to already need replacement is insane. To top it off it will almost cost $2000 dollars to replace all 4.
This is an OEM tire and the back tires need to be replaced already at 11,500 miles. I am not a heavy foot driver and most driving has been at under 60 MPH. Very disappointed as this is not a low profile tire and should be able to get at least 20K miles out of a set. They are Run Flats and I wish I had the option at the time to buy a normal tire and I do not like run flat tires. They do not last and it is a gimmick to say the least.
I got to 35,000 miles and had some good rubber left on them. Then picked up nail. Close inspection showed all four tires had significant cracking on exterior and all 4 were significantly delaminating on interior. I’m submitting warrantee claim on defective materials and workmanship.
These tires Will leave you stranded ! You have no spare,and they need to be ordered. This tire will not just come rolling down the road to where your stranded. But you do have a Jack!!??
