High Performance Summer tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sporty appearance, predictable handling and H- or V-speed rated durability along with dry and wet traction. Often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans, High Performance Summer tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

O.E. High Performance Summer tiresare typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle’s original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications incomplete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires’ performance category andspecifications.

  1. These are GREAT tires. I just purchased them and have had them on for about two months and they are terrific. I used them to replace a set of Dunlop V-rated tires that were noisy, wobbly and wore very poorly. The P600s are outstanding — smooth, responsive, great cornering, quiet, and I can really push tem in the corners, especially on rural twisting county highways — what more can one ask for? I never knew my Jag could handle so well. Definately the right tire for my 12 cyl. 89 XJS.

  2. an extremely expensive tire with outdated technology. unfortunately there are no other tires with this speed rating in this size so i was forced to buy this, but it has bad noise and treadwear.

  3. One of my priorities in selecting this tire was good drag strip traction with a true street radial, and it has come very close to matching my best 60 ft. times that I had achieved on well-worn Yokohama AVSis (1.98 sec in a Mustang GT).

  4. These are actually P400s Touring – but that model is not on the list??Got 4 over 2 years ago. Seemed fine. 70K warranty. In less than 30K miles one tire has gone out of round and another has begun coming apart. All have excessive tread wear – shop estimate on the ‘good tires’ is max 15K more miles. Since we cannot ‘prove’ recommended tire rotations and alignments the word we get is – “no warranty.” We need to replace at least 2 now – and certainly will not do it with Pirellis.

  5. While this tire remains the only current OEM recommended replacement, but others are available. There remains a noticeable improvement in performance using the Pirelli as this is a heavy vehicle and demands the finest quality available.
