The Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (Plus) ZP (Zero Pressure) is an Ultra High Performance All-Season run-flat tire member of Michelin’s Pilot family of low profile, high-speed tires developed for the drivers of high-end sports cars, sporty coupes and sedans looking for total performance combined with temporary continued mobility after a puncture has allowed a complete loss of air pressure. The Pilot Sport A/S 3+ ZP tire is designed to provide Michelin’s highest level of ultra-high all-season performance, emphasizing dry road handling and wet road grip with balanced all-season traction for occasional light snow.

Pilot Sport A/S 3+ ZP tires feature Michelin’s Helio+ Technology, which utilizes sunflower oil and Extreme Silica Technology in the tread compound to increase traction at low temperatures and on wet roads. Molded into an aggressive asymmetric tread pattern inspired by the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, its 4-, 5- or 6-rib designs* are tuned to complement tire width and feature more rubber and rigid blocks on their outboard shoulders to provide high levels of lateral grip that offer as much dry cornering capability as some competitors’ summer performance tires. Wide circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning, enhance wet traction and help generate some of the shortest wet braking distances in the Ultra High Performance All-Season category.

Variable Contact Patch 3.0 technology derived from Michelin’s experience in endurance racing focuses on evenly spreading contact patch pressures and temperatures. The tire’s internal structure includes two high-tensile, lightweight steel cord belts reinforced with spirally wrapped polyamide cord to combine predictable handling and high-speed durability with treadwear and ride comfort, and the reinforced sidewall inserts are designed to temporarily support the weight of the vehicle, even after a loss of air pressure.

  1. I put these tires on my 2017 Corvette Z06/Z07 as an everyday driver replacement to the track tires it was delivered with. They ride great and have more than adequate traction for street driving. The biggest take away I have is the car loses most if not all of the tenancy to want to follow grooves in the road or an irregular surface (which is a great thing). These tires make highway driving much more relaxed. With the track tires the car wants to dart around, noise level is reduced with the A3/+ tires in most cases but it does vary a bunch depending on the surface the road is paved with, Asphalt, concrete, etc. Very happy with the tire so far

  2. Bought these tires after a pothole ripped the sidewalk of my pirelli tires. These tires meet or exceed all expectations and perform as well as one could ever expect all-season tires to perform. I have drive in the rain countless times and felt in complete control. I have driven in a few snow storms with no difficulty at all. The grip these tires proved coupled with AWD offer safe and fun driving in virtually all conditions.

  3. I have had 2 prior set of Bridgestone runflats and they rode hard. These Michelin’s ride much better, but the mpg has dropped considerably. (Approximately 10 percent) Thus far I would purchase these tires again over the Bridgestone run flats. We will see how long they last.

  4. I wanted a tire that was run flat certified but more comfortable for a daily driver. The stock tires for the Grand Sport are the summer tires that wear too fast (24K miles) and make for a race ready ride, not a daily commuter ride. These new all season tires are heavenly in that they are priced much cheaper than the originals and ride so much smoother. I am not a racer or track guy, so I don’t need summer race tires, but all season comfortable ride tires. These tires ride great, wear great (10K and still look newish), and really fill in the fender space of the tire wells. The price of $1400 for a set of 4 vs. $1800 for summer originals had me at “hello”. I believe these are to be the stock tires for the 2020 Corvette as well. Buy them. You won’t be sorry.

  5. Should have had these tire’s as a factory option. Most people like to travel in there Zo6 & Grand Sport’s. These tires have (TREAD DEPTH). Excellent in the rain, not as noisy as the original Pilot Sport’s. And these tires do not spray the rear quarter panels with rock’s.
