The Ventus V12 evo2 (K120) is Hankook’s Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and high performance sedans who want to express their personality and style. Designed to deliver impressive traction and handling, Ventus V12 evo2 tires offer comfort and control in warm dry and wet road conditions. However, like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

The Ventus V12 evo2 radial’s high-grip silica tread compound features an innovative functionalized styrene polymer that lowers tire rolling resistance to enhance vehicle fuel economy without surrendering dry and wet traction. This compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring notched shoulders and 3D intermediate ribs flanking a continuous center rib to promote dry handling and traction. Circumferential and aqua jet lateral grooves promote efficient water evacuation from the center of the tire’s contact patch to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. Grooves in the intermediate blocks feature stealth technology and a unique wing tip design that reduces noise.

The tire’s internal structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced by two plies of spirally wrapped jointless nylon. High stiffness bead fillers sandwich hard rubber between the sidewall’s polyester cord casing plies to improve handling response by resisting distortion at high speeds and while cornering.

  1. So much fun. Plenty of insane grip for a spirited street driver. I’ve had the rears on for about 8 thousand miles on my wheel rear drive sports car and they are at the wear bars already. I only drive medium hard. I guess making tires of this type last long is out of the question. I live in California and its spring now so ill run these tires well into the wear bars but I don’t think I will get more than 15 thousand total before its time. I’ll probably look into a harder tire maybe all seasons? I had the Hankook v2 all seasons on a similar car and they did seem to last a little longer. Basically these tires are a lot of fun while canyon carving but they are a little bit expensive to commute with.

  2. Had these tires for about 6 weeks now and 3500 miles. Great traction wet or dry and they stick to the road like glue. Compared to my previous tires , conti contacts, these blow them away. As far as wear goes, I cant comment (too early) but I avg only 12000 to 17000 a set on my previous tires so time will tell. Noise is good, not real loud, about the same as my previous tires (Conti, Goodyear, Mich, and Dunlop). Buy with confidence- great tires.

  3. These tires are OK on dry roads. Slight over steer but manageable. They —- in the rain. They WILL hydroplane @ 55 mph during heavy rain. I have to go 45 and watch soccer moms sail by in SUV’s and mini vans! (Nothing against soccer mom’s mind you) Minimal traction taking off from a stop on a wet road. Tire wear is strange. First set of rears were done at 20K and I DO NOT do burn outs! I lowered the pressure on this pair (rears only) to 32psi vs 35 (called for) which wears the centers prematurely. I only replaced with the same since fronts were only about 40% worn. They would probably go 45K. However even though the rears are wearing more evenly due to the lower tire pressure, it doesn’t appear they will do any better than the previous 20K. I am always on top of tire pressures and wheel alignments but it almost seems as though the rears are a softer compound than the fronts. Not sure what I’ll try next but it won’t be these! Though they did do better than the original Bridgestones that were done at a little over 12K!! Rode hard, handled bad, real junk! I may try the Conti DWS 06’s. Although they are rated all season reviews seem very positive. My #1 concern is wet weather handling. I do not use this car in the winter as Salt, Snow and “Z” do not go together, but it definitely sees its share of rain. No garage queen here, I primarily commute 150 miles one way to work, mostly highway, plus a little local use 9 months a year. I’ve made a few mods and the car is a blast to drive but I do need to find some good rain tires.

  4. Excellent set of tires, great on braking and cornering. When time comes (about another 3k miles), I will definitely buy the exact same set. Currently 66k miles on them with rotation at every 6k with oil change. I use 225/45ZR19’s on my Mazda6.

  5. Ive ran these tires on my car for the past 4 years now. Ive purchased them twice now, both times they have lasted me about 30k to 35k mile with me driving aggressive on highway, mountain roads and city.Very very pleased with them and they are my go to tires on all 3 of my cars
