Grand Touring All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sophisticated appearance, competent handling and H-speed rated (or higher) durability, along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Grand Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sophisticated coupes and luxurious performance sedans.

O.E. Grand Touring All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle’s original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires’ performance category and specifications.

  1. OEM tires on my Alltrack. I think they’re decent at most things, a good all-around setup for commuting. The sidewall is too squishy for my tastes, so taking an offramp too fast feels pretty vague. I also thought snow traction was just okay at best, with snow braking giving me a few scares last winter. I wouldn’t run a set of these through a WI winter again, even new. I have 4/32″ left at 33k miles driving 90%+ highway.

  2. Previous Jetta wagon went 10 years on two sets of Michelins with one flat due to a nail. Now two years on these Falkens on a 2017 Alltrack and had 3 failures. Blowout on a deep pothole at 2 months; sidewall blew a bubble after scraping a curb at 18 months; and now third tire losing air so fast it needs air weekly. Appalling quality. Dumping them all for a set of Vredesteins.

  3. Spoiler alert: I wasn’t happy with these tires. They came equipped with my 2017 VW Alltrack. Major issue right away: I had two tires fail before 10,000 miles, both from hitting a normal obstacle at low speed. I replaced with same make of tire to keep all 4 the same. First time, right front tire ruptured hitting a pothole less than 20 mph, was completely flat within 100 yards. Second incident, rear tire suffered a sidewall bulge, then slow pressure loss from rolling over a curb at less than 10mph. I have been extremely critical of their performance ever since. On a budget, I had to run them through their entire treadwear life, I was at the end of legal treadware at 36,000 on all four, including those with less than 36,000 which replaced failed originals. Comfort, traction and wet/snow performance were average when new. They were quiet when new, probably better than average. Wet and snow confidence went first, they were very uncomfortable and excessively noisy on concrete towards the end (though still OK on blacktop).

  4. I bought the car brand new in February 2018. Didn’t see any real bad weather besides a little ice, and at time it preformed well with the AWD system and the tires still new. Light snow was excellent in that as well, at the time. Tires didn’t get rotated in my service, evidently that’s not in the service contract. It was unknown to me, but next service I was aware of it due to the tire ware. This car is scheduled for 10,000 mile services, not good for tires that long, in my opinion, should rotate every other oil change, on a 3,000 mile so basis/ or 7,000 miles. This was new to me seeing this is my first NEW car. So the drastic wear on two tires I believe is because of that and the AWD Others looked ok for 20,000 mile tires, but this snow of January 2019, with the better tires up front, issues with catching traction in deeper snow and eventually getting stuck at one point in I guess 6” or less of snow. Ice traction was worse now than before. Already had issues with losing air in tires, pulled a nail out one, and tread wearing fast. I solely drive this car to and from work, hour there and back. Currently looking for a better replacement that seems to be a limited quantity in this size.

  5. Was expecting to be disappointed but they seem very good so far. Will try to come back and update as I learn more.

  6. These tires are the original OEM tires that came with the car. Surprisingly quiet and responsive in both wet and dry conditions. Good wear as at 38,000 miles I still have 7/32 of tread left. Only rotated twice during this time. Living in the Charlotte NC area I can’t really comment on snow performance.
