The Krawler T/A KX (KX is for Key feature: eXtreme traction) is BFGoodrich’s Off-Road Maximum Traction tire for off-road enthusiasts who participate in the extreme sport of rock crawling to challenge their driving skills and the performance of their vehicles. This purpose-built rock crawling tire was developed through participation in competition as BFGoodrich worked directly with rock crawling enthusiasts.

The Krawler T/A KX features a soft tread compound based on BFGoodrich’s years of off-road experience molded into an extra deep tread design with a tread pattern that combines deep, aggressive independent blocks with solid sidewall lugs. The tire’s internal structure is built like some of BFGoodrich’s off-road racing tires featuring twin steel belts and four nylon sidewall plies. A rim protector rounds out the package by enhancing wheel and tire protection, especially in aired-down off-road situations.

While Off-Road Maximum Traction tires, which are often called mud tires, are branded with the M+S symbol and able to churn through deep snow, their typical oversize applications and the absence of snow-biting sipes in their large smooth lugs can challenge their on-road wintertime traction on packed snow and icy surfaces.

  1. The tires are great for daily driving the only other tires that are the same would be the interco boggers or tsl/sx. I rotate the tires every oil change. For the people that conplain about the noise the only tire thats as loud or louder is a bogger. So far i might be able to get another 10k out of them. but will have to replace next week. because of a hole in the sidewall. the only thing that would make me buy this tire again would be to see it for 245 a tire.

  2. Krawlers are the best off road tire available. The tread wear has been excellent compared to what I thought it would be and actually better than other off -road tires Ive used.

  3. This is the most capable off road tire available. I lost a front locker (ARB) on trail 2 in Tellico and these tires took up the slack. I made it up and out with rear locker only and these tires. Ive aired down to 5 psi with out bead problems. Highway driving is comparable to any other extreme off-road tire. The ride is actually smooth and not loud if you rotate them every 5,000 miles or less. The wear is remarkable considering the softness of these tires. I would wear a set of Duelers out in 22,000 miles on my Dodge truck but the tread on the Krawlers is wearing well after 20,000 miles. As long as the price doesnt go any higher Ill buy these again otherwise Ill be giving Pitbull tires or Maxxis a try.

  4. 1985 Toyota w/ rockwell 2 1/2 ton axles stroked and bored 496 Chevy BB yes these tires work AWESUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
