The Advantage T/A Sport LT is BFGoodrich’s Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire for drivers of light trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles looking for handling and responsiveness to add some fun to the daily commute, combined with confidence in inclement weather. The Advantage T/A Sport LT meets the industry’s severe snow service requirements and is branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Advantage T/A Sport LT tires feature an advanced, all-season tread compound molded into a symmetrical design, allowing easy cross rotation to resist irregular wear. The tire’s continuous center rib creates constant contact with the road, and combined with the optimized footprint provided by the Next Generation ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment) System, delivers confident handling and high speed stability.

Utilizing full-depth tread features helps to deliver traction mile after mile while the wide, circumferential grooves efficiently channel water through the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance. 3D Active Sipe Technology sipes provide an increased number of biting edges for improved wet and light snow traction.

The tire’s internal structure includes a two ply polyester body casing. Next Generation g-Wedge Sidewall Stabilizer inserts help control distortion during cornering, and two wide, steel belts with a spirally-wrapped nylon reinforcement deliver durability, ride quality and stability.

  1. Went with Tire Racks recommendation and it was right on the money. Mounted on a Thursday, drove a thousand miles (highway) the next few days. Factory Toyo’s made it to 27k, rotated every 5k. Went from a V to an H rated, very little change in the handling, much quieter than factory tires . Can’t wait to see how they do in New England winter!

  2. I bought these tires last fall. They performed extremely well in Wyoming’s smowmageddon winter. Much better than expected in heavy or light snow and even good on slick roads (without studs). They are smooth, quiet, and not too harsh. Too early to tell about tread wear, but seems good. I recommend them for your SUV.

  3. Excellent snow tire. I’ve spent a winter in Minnesota with these on and glad I purchased them. Not a true winter tire yet performs above expectations in snow. Did drive in all sorts of winter conditions including up to 8″ of snow, packed snow, slush and Ice. Had no worries driving at a reduced speed in blizzard conditions – wheels stuck to the road. I did lose control in a couple of (controlled) ice tests but I believe that’s unavoidable with any tire unless you have spikes. Slushy ice/snow, though, no problems – these tires did great.I did research winter capable tires and as far as a price point these BFG’s are a good choice. I had no confidence in the OEM Bridgestone Ecopia’s that came with my Honda CR-V.

  4. Really good tread pattern for a variety of conditions. Mounted these tires on the “summer” wheels. The “winter” wheels are Firestone Winterforce/studded tires. Guess what- didn’t feel the need to mount them this year. The Advantage tires on my wifes CRV have proven to be great tires.**- Great tires if you encounter a variety of road conditions on a regular occurrence. Dry, smooth roads, – not the best tire for that.

  5. You can barely hear it against when you are close to the highway barriers. Coming from Conti’s this is a day & night experience (Stay away from continental Truecontact, wobbly tires after 25k miles, had to buy new ones in shuch short time), BF’s are solid!. They look cool on the van, I had them on a bmw 328i, same expectations on the van, good handling on dry, wet is really good.

  6. I bought these tires when the OEM tires wore out. I immediately noticed a huge difference in driving stability and grip. I could take corners at higher speeds than the OEM tires. I do have to keep them at about 35-38 psi though as the sidewall starts to feel a bit too flimsy at certain speeds on corners. As the tread wears down, the hydroplaning resistance drastically drops unfortunately. Still, I plan on buying them again.
